Shawn "Stone in Love" Luna
Favorite Karaoke Songs:

  1. Stone in Love - Journey
  2. Anthon'y Song - Billy Joel
  3. My Old School - Steely Dan

Shawn would often sing at the top of his voice while commuting and travelling alone. His first karaoke experience was singing "Raw Hide" at a bar in San Luis Obispo, and it was terrifying. He swore he would never sing again, but secretly was hoping for another chance. Then one day in San Francisco at a friend's party, he picked up a mic, sang Frank Sinatra and was hooked. Within months he opened his own (underground) karaoke bar at "Space 049" and the rest is history.
Shawn
started 049 Events to carry on the great San Francisco karaoke tradition and to ensure that he always has a place to sing!

Libby "Don't Stop Me Now " Hinkle
Favorite Karaoke Songs:
       1. Sin Wagon - Dixie Chicks
       2. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
       3. I Believe in a Thing Called Love - The Darkness
Libby has been a karaoke queen her entire life. When she was younger, she hammed it up in family venues like Carrow's Restaurant and house parties. As she got older, she migrated to more classy venues like "The Mint" in San Francisco and "American Idol" tryouts (where she was unfortunately beaten out by a guy dressed in a tiger outfit who did backflips).
Libby is known for her stage shows, rolling around on the floor, and hitting those really high notes (please refer to Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi). Libby just wants everyone to have a good time.

History of 049

049 was a live/work loft in the SOMA area of San Francisco. Shawn threw karaoke parties twice a month and was praised as "The best karaoke in the city." The sound was outstanding; people could request to have their own custom karaoke song made for them. Using high-end equipment, projectors, and personalized karaoke songs, 049 was a hit. When the lease was up, Shawn decided to venture into the world of karaoke DJ'ng and take the legend of 049 with him all over San Francisco.
